Principles of Thinking and Winning Like a Champion

Principles of Thinking and Winning Like a Champion:

1.     Embrace Healthy Eating as a Lifestyle

Champions get it.  They know that having optimal health and energy is critical to being a champion.  They don’t argue with themselves about this.  They know they have to work out and eat right. They embrace it as a lifestyle.  To be a champion yourself, you must do the same. Let me ask you a question. How many overweight, out of shape, diabetic athletic champions do you know? None? Me neither.

Whether your goal is to be the top CEO in your industry, or the top salesman in your office, or the first woman to be the richest person in your country, you gotta take care of your health.  One, optimal health will help you get there, and two, don’t you want to be healthy enough to enjoy your success?

Embrace Healthy Eating.  All champions do.

Ask yourself this question: how can I improve my eating habits so that they are optimizing my health?

2.     Embrace Daily Exercise

Champions workout every day.  They know that to optimize their health, they have to move their bodies, keep them in top shape.  That is impossible without daily exercise.  And that means every day, not every day except weekends and holidays, or days when my schedule is insanely busy.  Do you see any champions out there who go on talk shows and say they workout except when they’re too frazzled, or too busy, or too tired from partying late at the business event they were at last night?  No? Me neither.  So embrace daily exercise.

And daily exercise doesn’t necessarily mean going to the gym 2 hours a day.   If you can do that, great, go for it.  But if your schedule really is packed and carving out two hours isn’t an option, commit to at least 10 minutes, no matter what.  Set your timer to 10 minutes on your smart phone and go for a walk or a jog, or contact me by email (nicky@theceohealthcoach.com) and I’ll send you a workout e-book for a home based workout you can do that’s 20 minutes long.  (I know, it’s not 10 minutes, but you can start by just doing 10 minutes of it.)
