How much is that worth to you? According to Rob Roland, co-owner of a Keller Williams brokerage, one more sale a month is worth at least $10,000 per sale in commission earnings to the average broker. Over the course of a year, that’s $120,000 in income!

So we asked Rob, what’s the best and fastest way to ensure this result?

He said, and I quote, that it’s optimizing your energy through regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

He went on to say that as a top producing realtor, if you are not maximizing your energy via optimizing your health and fitness through regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle, you are giving up at least one deal a month. At $10,000 commission for the average deal, you are forgoing at least $120,000 in income a year.”

Rob should know. He was overweight, even obese for over 20 years. A couple of years ago, he finally went on a major health kick and took on a new eating plan and regular exercise, and has lost nearly 40 pounds. His energy is through the roof, and that is the secret to him getting at least one more deal a month done.

Jason Gavadza, one of the top agents at Rob’s brokerage agrees. He is a former professional football player, and he attributes much of his success to the energy and discipline he learned in staying in shape as a professional ball player.

It’s not news that people in business who exercise and eat right have more energy and are more productive than those who don’t. A study done by NASA in 2004 indicated that workers who exercise 3 times a week are on average 12.5% more productive than those who don’t.

Richard Branson, the legendary founder of the Virgin group of companies says that when he works out, he adds 4 hours a day to his productivity. That’s another 50% extra productivity!

Look at yourself. If you are doing 60 deals a year, and your become 12.5% more productive, that means 8 more deals year. If you become 50% more productive, that’s 30 more deals a year! At $10,000 average commission per deal, that’s worth between $80,000 — $300,000 in additional income! Is it worth it to invest 3 hours a week to workout, and another hour a week to plan your meals and portion sizes to generate that much extra cash in your pocket? Only you can decide!
